APPCRASH on Windows Live Messenger

I use Windows Vista and everytime I try to log into Windows Live Messenger or
MSN Messenger, the program crashes and there is this message:

Application Timestamp: 45b12d6a

Hello,

if you can't resolve the issue, you may want to try Live Messenger 8.5, the
next version after 8.1: http://get.live.com/betas/messenger_config
