App internet access control

I'm using a great rule based firewall that gives you control over ports
and IPs and so on, but it offers no outbound application control.

Does anyone know of a simple program that will let you allow/block apps
from accessing the internet? Not a firewall, but just simple app
control. I don't care if it has web filtering capabilities either. I
just want some outbound app control

I don't want to change firewalls because I'm happy with this one.

Thanks...

I'm not sure I have a clue what you mean. :-)

What FW are you using?

Is something like System Safety Monitor what you are after?

Hi jo...

I'm using VisNetic Firewall, however, it isn't free, so I left it out of
the discussion..

Yes, I'm after something like SSM, but instead of asking you to allow a
program to execute, I want it to ask me to allow it to access the
internet or not. It's normally the job of a firewall, but in my case,
since my firewall doesn't do this, I'm looking for a separate program.

Probably just can't be found...

A newbie like me would be looking for another FW...

You could ask here: comp.security.firewalls
