I found, through this forum, how to add my application shortcut to the start
menu. However, the icon for the app does not show up correctly in the start
menu or the recently used programs list.

The ico has a 16x16 and 32x32 in it. It shows up fine on the Progams panel
and in the File Explorer.

Is there another size of the icon that has to be added somehow??

Thanks
-G

The start menu should use the 16x16 version of the icon. You may want to
first try soft resetting the device, since the shell caches icons and it
could be that the icon you have is fine but the shell is caching an old one.
Also check the colour depth on your icons - I think it still needs to be 256
colours or less.

Thanks, it did appear to have the old icon cached.

Another question about this subject -- If only 9 icons are allowed on the
start menu, is there a way to force one off of the menu and add yours?

Thanks
