Apointments more than 2 months in the past dont show in bold

The email client is Outlook 2000 attaching to an Exchange
5.5 server.
All the clients fail to display dates in bold with
appointments which are more than 2 months in the past.
The appointments are still there, just the dates aren't in
bold.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change this so it
display up to 6 months in the past
I've had a search of the MS KB and the web and failed to
find anything.
