Hi,

I use an application, AOLPRESS, to maintain a website since the software was
released in 1997. It has not been supported for many years but it has worked
great until a recent Windows Update in June. Using Windows XP Home.

The application will not read or display JPG and GIF image files, leaving an
error type icon in the images place. A feature of the software is when an
image is specified and read, it will read the image hight and width and code
in HTML, but can't now since it cannot correctly read the files. This
problem is with images on the web or locally. You can browse for image files
within the application but when you select the file you want, it will not
display.

All other functions of the application work correctly. This has happend on
3 different PC's running Windows XP home.

Images display correctly in IE and other software.

Any ideas and/or work arounds?

Hello all:
I too have been having the same problems,,,,,but with a little research I have found that AOLPress and winXP do not "speak" to each other!

During my hunts to find why, I happened upon the one who wrote the tutorial for AOLPress. While she could confirm yes or no, she did say, she had heard from many sources that the two will not work as if using Win98 or lower.

So I have two puters, one with win98 and one with winXP.

Hope this helps,,,and also that the rumors prove to be false...

Good luck folks,,
eddy
