I am using a instant messaging program called toccer for my palm treo
680. Every time i am signed on to it i receive a message from AOL
System Msg saying "Your AOL screen name (Screenname) is now signed
into AOL(R) Instant Messenger (TM) in 2 locations. Click here for more
information." It pops up every 10 minutes and is very annoying. Does
anyone have a solution. Thanks.

Are you signed into AOL or AIM with your computer also?

If you haven't logged out of AIM or AOL on your computer, and you log on with your
Palm Treo, you are indeed logged on in two locations, as the message states. Toccer
is an AIM client.

What does this have to do with the XP OS?

No i am not signed in any where else besides toccer. I've had this
problem for over 2 weeks.
I can't seem to solve it.

DLinares,

For me, you have AOL open & one of the settings is to automatically sign in to
AIM. In the main AOL you have settings to remove it

You can use the Auto Dialer option instead of the crappy AOL browser sign in.
That will also stop the AIM login too & you can use IE instead

If you have the Netgear Wireless Router then type in your username/password & do
away with the AOL software completely. You can then configure AOL Mail through
Outlook Express instead:

Do you have Trillian set to start with Windows?
If you do, you may be logged onto your AIM account without realising it.
