AOL starts at boot up

Somehow AOL starts up when the computer is booted up.
Back in the days of Win 3X there was a screen which
listed the programs which would autostart at boot up, or
we could go into the config.sys or autoexec.bat and add
or remove programs.

Now with Win XP I find that most of the user options have
been taken away. Choosing which programs start
automaticly when the computer is turned on seems to be
out of my control.

I uninstalled the version which was autostarting and the
system simply found an other version to autostart.

Does anyone know if there is a way to remove a program
from autostart.

Right click the aol tray item and select AutoStart Options. You can select
"never autostart" here.
