When I sin on the AOL, I get an error message that
says "AL has detected an error in your internet
connection Please exit, restart your PC and signon." I
can use AOL to do e-mail, but nothing that requires a "web
service" which includes just about everything except e-
mail.
AOL 9.0 SE uses Internet explorer 6.0 for "web services"
and for some reason AOL cannot utilize IE. I have
unistalled TCP/IP, AOL Adapters, Network adapters, and run
through the entire list of solutions AOL has to offer,
including unistalling and reistalling their software,
running webutils, reistalling adapters, etc.
The problem began when i inadvertantly reinstalled a
wireless card. The PC recognized it as new hardware when
it was not. That caused a number of problems all of which
I have repaired, except this one.
Somehow, the reinstall reset some configuration setting on
my PC that will not allow AOL to use IE. I can use IE
directly through my router to access the internet just
fine.
Has anyone ever heard of such a thing and how it was fixed?
