Ken
I tried earlier this evening to set up Windows Mail on AOL Broadband
for a friend. I did not get it to work.
Two points arose. Someone had installed AOL 9.00a software, which is
not compatible with Windows Vista. You need AOL 9.00 VR

The existing software gave access to the internet but had not
installed correctly and was not giving all the services ,which
should be available. Telephoned AOL Support who are going to supply
the correct disk.
Check you have got the right version of AOL software.
Are you trying to set up Windows Mail using an AOL email account or
with some other email account? If the former I am not sure you can
as it seems AOL blocks Port 25.

Error 815 suggests you might be trying to use a WAN mini port?

Hope this helps.
