Is there anyway to change the default width of the Advanced Find dialog?
When it opens, the Received column is to small. I've got a great big monitor
and would like to use the width of it.

what version of outlook? In some versions the window size is retained, but
the view is not - however, you can easily change the view or save it as a
search folder or saved search, depending on your version.

Outlook 2007.

Every time the Advanced Search dialog opens, it is the same size. No matter
how I stretch it, the next time it opens it is back to the original size.
Changed column sizes do not "stick" either.

I was afraid it was 2007. That one never seems to hold the size. Column
sizes never stuck unless you saved it as an OSS, but that feature was
disabled for security reasons in 2003 and it was never an option in 2007.
