Does anyone know of any freeware like MPTrim that "trims" MP3s longer than 6
minutes? I like this program but have many MP3s that are longer than 6 to
7 minutes. What one is best in your opinion(s)?

Thanks. )

==================
That doesn't work by itself. The website says it doesn't work with Norton
Protected Recycle Bin for some reason. I have that on my PC but will see if
I can disable it. It also doesn't say what Lame version is needed. I'm
using WXP-Home/SP1. I downloaded Lame 3.96.01. I assume that's the one I
would need. Do both go into "one folder" to work? Do I just install Lame
and Audacity finds it itself? Since I already have CDex which uses Lame
does that mean a copy of Lame is already on my PC?

Thank you so much. I'm off to check out all of these you both recommended.
I know I'll find just what I'm looking for - I almost always do from
recommendations the people on this NG make. ))

I downloaded this one. This is just a cutter. I need something to *fade*
the ends off those MP3s someone else cut before I downloaded them. They're
all over 7 minutes long and all abruptly just cut-off. MP3Trim fades these
ends out but doesn't do Mp3s over 6 minutes. Do you know of something that
will FADE the ends of long Mp3s?

TIA! :-)

I don't know which LAME I need for this one, and don't want to install
another version since there already is a LAME on my PC. I don't know if
they would conflict.

You can use the same Version of LAME or you can use a newer Version of
LAME the choice is yours. As far as conflicts go if they are different
versions, you don't need to worry, LAME is a standalone win32 executable
with no external dependencies.

FWIW: Their is nothing like Trim for editing .mp3s and fade in/fade out.
