If anyone using an Epson scanner and windows XP home, could look in the
registry at :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Twain\default Source ....
and tell me exactly what it says for the data in that
key, it would possibly be a great help to me, to solve a small problem
that's been bugging me for quite some time! I can't seem to get the answer
that I need from Microsoft or Epson supports.
Thank you kindly ..........

What model Epson scanner? I have HP scanner and printer,
but I do know there are many models of scanners and they
probably have different registry entries.

I have an Epson Perfection 1660 Photo and my two lines under the registry
entry are Default = "Value Not Set" and the second entry is Default Source =
C:\WINDOWS\Twain_32\EPFB5\ESTW5.ds with Type for both lines = REG_SZ

Hope this helps
