I want to compare observations. It seems that using BCM when connected
via pptp vpn that network traffic never stops. The indicator lights
stay solid. In my non-BCM Outlook profile with the same connection,
there is no problem.

Any ideas?

John

BCM is going to be constantly accessing the database so that it can
update the UI should another user change some data. If the database has
not changed, on my machine it's a minor cpu blip every second.
Depending on the speed of your connection and the encryption/decryption
requirements, that blip will spread out and take longer.

I'm using a VPN for BCM with L2TP IPsec security (DES encryption) and the
traffic is continuous - about 2MB of traffic every half hour with ADSL at
1536/512 speed. Is there any way to slow down the rate/timing that BCM
checks the database for changes?
