Apparently it doesn't run (or hasn't been tested on XP), but I was curious.
Is this a very old (or very new) player? Anyone use it?

Never used it but I plan on giving it a try on my Linux (Ubuntu) box. I
am confused by the suject of you post (I am sure I am just misreading
it):

"Anyone use Zinf, Linux and Windows media player?" -- WiMP for Linux??
Say it isn't so!

OOPS!

Should have read "Anyone use Zinf, for Linux and Windows, it's a media
player"

Tried to cut the subject down so it would appear on one line. So much for
clarity.

I was not home much last night (went to go see the Dallas Mavericks
play), so I installed it on my work PC today. I must say it is a nice
little program. 1.8 meg download, used a little less than 4 megs of
memory (WiMP 10 uses 12+), takes up a little more than 3 megs of HD
space (although the executable is only 300k...the rest of the files are
plugins and db's) Sounds good on my XP box at work. It does tag
editing (not both ID3 v1 not ID3v2,though...bummer!). It has two
default skins (ZINF -- clean, which I like and FreeAmp -- smaller, but
not really my type). I will have to see how good it acts on Linux
tonight.
