Hey gang,

I saw some posts here that indicated people had trouble
getting to secure (https sites after uninstalling, but
it wasn't clear if they had these problems to begin with.

I don't want to uninstall it simply to get rid of the
annyoing "disappearing selected text" and "scrollbar
double scrolls" issues, if I'm going to have other, more
serious issues.

So, I would appreciate feedback (post here) from anyone
who attempted to or successfully uninstalled the
cumulative update (Q824145/KB824145). If you could be so
kind, let me know:

1) If you had any problem actually doing the uninstall
from Add/Remove Programs.

2) If your system encountered any problems that didn't
exist prior to installing the update in the first place,
once you installed then uninstalled it.

3) If you're running Win2k. If not, which OS?

I'm running Win2k, typical workstation setup, home network
and antivirus from Symantec.

TIA, BG3

The only problem I had was actually finding the patch
listed in Add/Remove window. Turned out that window was
also affected by the double scroll, so I missed it at
first. Ironic. Anyway, after I located it the uninstall
went just fine.

No new problems. It was smart of you to post this
question.

W2k SP4 on a Dell Latitude laptop running the usual
suspects.

Bingo, Richard. Exactly the kind of feedback I was
looking for. Q824145 is outta here for me, too.

Didn't want to make an annoying situation into an
inoperable one...

Thanks for your response.
