A DVD that will play in a normal DVD Player, that is? I've tried all the suggestions with no result... Just today, read on a Microsoft website (that was linked from this bulletin board) that if I've got a DVD-RAM burner, no movies will play in home DVD Players... Is this true? I've got a Matshita DVD-RAM burner in this machine. Is THAT the problem? Does this mean that no matter WHAT I do, I won't be able to see the movies on the home movie players? Other DVD's burn fine and play on other machines. For some reason, is Microsoft purposefully against compatibility?

Saving to av.dvi format and using the NTSC format to burn the discs.... HELP!

Most standalone DVD players only read DVD-R and DVD+R formats. If you
can only write to DVD-RAM you won't be able to play in a standalone
player, that is true.

try http://www.videohelp.com/ for much more information and explanation
on this topic.
