It is a very low-noise cooler but not necessarily completely silent. By
that i mean that an extremely quiet system won't mask slight noises but
given that you can hear your 6 case fans the Silent Boost should be
acceptable. To get reasonable performance at any lower noise level you'd
be looking at a higher-end, more efficient (metal portion of the) cooler
like a Thermalright SLK800 or higher SLK9xx, SP-97, etc, plus a Panaflo
80-92mm "L" speed fan undervolted... would cost more and require more work
to further drop RPM.

From the review the Silent boost is a rip of of one of the higher end
coolers like the SLK loos the same and is toataly copper, well from
the reviews i read

Also all my fans but the CPU cooler is running at 7 volts so the
vantec is Mighty noisy for some reason, ive got a few ios downloading
so once they are done ill take it off and do the works and se if they
works.

Do you have a silent boost or have heard one working ive got an Xp
2400, not a barton

Thanks.

It's quite good compared to Thermaltake's other offerings, but not really
a rip of an SLK at all, simply all copper except the fan skirt. It's
smaller than an SLK and doesn't perform as well, perhaps more similar to,
a hair better than an SK-7. Mainly it's high points are the solid-copper
base and the Panaflo fan on top.

Don't know what the temp would be on an XP2400 but I did have one briefly,
just long enough to put into a box I sold. Never would've bought it
except for the Panaflo fan on top, as most of Thermaltake's fans are junk
and too high an RPM to suit me.
