I hear that Lyson is better than most of the crap but at least it is a name brand if you can get it under that exact name. That said you have a nice pigmented ink printer and I would not want to take a chance on ruining that printer.
If your stuff that you print is mostly letter size business documents then get a cheap printer that you will not care about. When the tanks are empty buy the cheapest crap ink (you choice is cheap crap or expensive crap) and when the printer poops out throw it away. Basically you buy an ink dispenser and toss it when you are done.
I am sure that many of the idiots will just pounce on this one.

I have a ton of things to print that are very large and I need a serious amount of ink, and I need professional results. I've read lots of things on the Internet about Lyson and have seen their system at the Photo Expo in NYC, but I don't too many people or have read many posts by users of the system. My printer is an Epson R1800 that I really like and wouldn't want to screw it up with third party ink gone bad, but I have heard that Lyson does have a good product and their ink matches and in some cases surpasses the gamut of the Epson OEM ink. Thanks for any advice, replies, etc.
