Hi - new to this forum so apologies if this topic has already been exhausted...

I'm looking for a site traffic package having recently tried Webstats (which collapsed last week, messing up our homepage load time hugely).
We need to know traffic (usual stuff, unique visits, returns) and referral sites (search engines, PPC and keywords - we're buying keywords right now as the site hasn't been optimised).
The site is new - so any suggestions or advice gratefully received! We (the missus & me) are pretty pleased with it - but have lived too closely to it to be truly objective.

it was OK, telling you about the visitors to my site (I use "invisible" mode)

If your site was in PHP, Id recommend PHPOpenTracker

But a good alternative that will work sitewide is:

http://stats.mnm-designs.com/

MNM stats uses a "webbug" and will work with HTML as well as ASPX pages & templates. But you do need access to a PHP server somewhere (to remotely send the information to).

Webalizer, Modlogan and AWStats are normally free ones which come with good hosting packages.

if you have access to the raw server logs then check out http://awstats.sourceforge.net/ - v nice and free
