That is the problem, that HP sends U to Microsoft and MS says that XP comes
with it. However, I disconnected it, bought a parallel port cable(had
already discarded the original one) and connected to my extremely old and
slow IBM but it worked. It was urgent to print all that I need for now.
As for your second suggestion, I did that and worked once and never again
then I deleted the printer, the driver in the printer server, cleaned al
evidence of it in the regedit files and doing exactly what you suggested.
However, I just downloaded the link you suggested. Will read it carefully
and see what else I need to do.
