Actually DNS and cache refresh are two
different and unrelated things.
DNS = Domain Name Server, which is
what is used to convert
www.mydomain.com
to a numerical IP address so that the browser
knows how and where to find a web site.
Name servers are normally updated every
24 to 48 hours.
Cache is a stored copy of a web page or web site,
such as Google uses for the "stored version" option
available when you do a search.
AOL also "caches" web sites on AOL servers to
( as they say ) provide better service to AOL users.
( the real reason is to reduce their tier 1 bandwidth fees )
