I need to know how to calculate the total number of days that have elapsed
since an incident has occurred.

Can anyone give me the script & tell me how to insert it into the page?

Thanks

Well that depends if the incident can be picked up. For example if the
incident is that you went to the grocery store I don't think FrontPage will
be much help to record that date. So what exactly is the incident you are
hoping to capture that you hope FrontPage can capture for you? We can
probably tell you the likelihood of that and then maybe suggest how to do
what you've asked for.

I've seen java applets that will do it. It's called an elapsed time counter.

There's an example here that uses one. ( requires java virtual machine )

http://www.95isalive.com/reflections/wtc.htm

You could Google for elapsed time counter

Your not likely to find a free copy and paste script for the task as you
described it as the progam logic required will be entirely dependent on how
and where the time of the incident is recorded, what date and time format
was used to record the initial incident and so on.

It can be done using a java applet.
The time and date are entered via a parameter list in the html document.
And yes there are free downloadable scripts.

If my comments were misguided why not provide a reference
to a Java applet or free script you think you can find that has magic
functions that know how to adapt itself to circumstances that were
not coded into the applet or script in the first place. Hello?

Ain't gonna happen and you should stop misusing the MVP
title to spread bullsh!t or go into a different business if you
really want to be a farmer.

Obviously you chose not to read my other reply to the original posters simple question.
Now to answer this one:
Here's an example: http://www.95isalive.com/reflections/wtc.htm
View the source. As I said earlier, the event date is entered via parameters in the html.

Here's a link to a whole list of available scripts and applets.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search

As for misusing the MVP title, I fail how to see how offering simple, free, workable advice is
abusing the MVP title.
However Mr. Gallagher, imho, posting vague comments in a thinly veiled attempt at advertising for
hire ones alleged "programming prowess" is an abuse of the news server.
This same "programming prowess" I might add, that expects people to click on and download an
executable file to read a resume.

It's quite obvious that for some reason you have a problem with "MVP's." Why I don't know. I assume
it's either envy, or frustration as you attempt to become another flea living off of the back of the
Microsoft dog.

What I do know though, and I'll guarantee in writing is: At the rate you're going you will never be
either.
