I just got home from taking care of my daughter since she just had her new
baby and was wondering if anyone saw any problems with new ms security
updates

Do You Fee Like A Hostage To Your Computer?
R&D Internet Associates is who you need.

Congratulations to your daughter and family.

I (or WSUS) have applied these to a motley cru of XP, Vista, Windows 7,
Server 2003, and one 64 bit Server 2008 machines, without mishap.

I totally forgot about it yesterday, but saw the shield this a.m. No
problems, I got 4, a reboot, and all was fine.

Hope you had fun with the new grandchild. JJ :-)

Congratulations Grandma:

The question that should be asked is, did /you/ have any trouble with
Tuesday's updates? If you haven't installed them yet, go to it. At
least one was a critical update and you /will/ need to reboot after
installation.

Regards,

No issues with XP save Silverlight which is fluff, no complaints.

I keep seeing references like yours to Silverlight. I have no opinion
about it from the software side , but there are some sites that require
it for their live video to work, including, as I recall, one or more
major sporting events.

Noted, Gene - thanks.
Silverlight I have not be able to successfully install as an upgrade although
the original version wasn't an issue - I won't run after it anymore than I have to.

Good evening granny,

Hope mummy and baby are doin` well.

Far removed from the world of WD and all those things that make our
computers work huh? Up to yer neck in milky sick burps, Pampers, Baby Grows
and many other things unimaginable OR mentionable on here. Thank God I wus
born a boy so that I may stand back and observe a job well done!! ... just
kidding you
