I've tried the repair option and I've uninstalled and reinstalled and even on
a blank presentation, it takes a minute to type in a title? Not sure what to
do. Any suggestions? I didn't have these issues initially.

Are you sure it's PowerPoint and not something else? When I had a gradual
hard drive failure, the first program it affected was PowerPoint--probably
because it draws a lot of resources. It made PPT operate very slowly.

I'd suggest at the least running a spywhere check (spyware can suck up a lot
of resources). Also, another possibility is to look at any changes you might
have made right before the problem turned up. I've had some very odd results
after installing new anti-virus programs.

Always besure to state what version of powerpoint you are using (e.g. 97,
2000, xp, or 2007)
