Is anyone else fed up with wading through slanging matches?

I have just had a look for any interesting postings seeing as I got my first
pc running vista in August and I have had to wade through numerous postings
where all that seems to be going on is people calling each other names and
slanging each other off! I have better things to do than to have to wade
through this kind of rubbish, does anyone else?

If it is a relevant comment on vista then fine. No problems but name
calling should remain in the playground surely. Come on guys, grow up will
you!

I agree. I've filtered out Frank, Adam and Alias and most of the "bombing"
stopped. Lot less to wade thru now.

Hi Sally,

I agree with you whole heartily.

I, for the first time posted a question about the 1st service pack I have
also had to wade through a lot of garbage. I am really put off by all the
name calling and mud slinging in the posts. This is not the way grown ups
are supposed to act! Or are they grownups?

Bob C,

Which Adam was that? I would like to know so I can block him also. So far, I
blocked Frank and Alias.

This is NOT a web forum, this is Usenet. It's entirely up to you to
filter out the noise but that's no different than any other newsgroup,
you have to learn how to use killfiling and scoring to survive and if
your newsreader doesn't have those capabilities maybe you need to
change to one that does?

Angel;
Probably Adam Albright.
But there is another, nearly as bad, that for some reason need to use
"Adam" in his name probably as an insult to Adam A.
They have seemed to continually trade with each other nearly non stop.

It seems there are a few in these newsgroups whose ego needs to have
the last word.
When they get together on opposite sides in the same thread, which is
often, the threads are nearly endless.

Blocking just a few can make it much quieter.

However there is at least one who deliberately changes names regularly
to get out of others bozo bins.
I suppose he feels what he has to say is too important even if others
disagree.
He feels others can not make a reasonable judgment on what they need
to read and thus the name changes to make the judgment for them.

obviously!
