anyone conneting directly to SqlServer?

I just want to know. it has just stopped working.
Does anyone with XP SP2 still manage to connect to SqlServer (on the
desktop) from the PocketPC?

I removed all firewall, installed SqlServer SP3, I can't connect to
SqlServer anymore! (always SqlException. General Network error.)

it used to work fine...
I just wonder.. does it still work for you?
