Ah now that i have your attention...

Hypothetical situation...Heres the deal...

Your car breaks down and your walking along and you need to catch the bus to get home, you see a bus shelter and head for it and when you reach it you sit down and wait for the bus, out of the corner of your eye you spot a sports bag at the end of the bench, their is no one around and you slowly work your way up the bench towards the bag, you wait a little while longer to see if anyone is around or coming back for there forgetten bag but nobody turns up, you think sod it i'm gonna have a little peek inside the bag to see if there is any I.D in there, you pull back the zip slowly and oh my god the bag is completeley stuffed full of money, bundles and bundles of £20 pound notes, their must be £250,000 in there at least, you pull the zip tight and look around theres nobody about at all........

This money could set you up for life imagine what you could do.....

WHAT WOULD YOU DO.......

*Apart from handing it in at the police station of course.... *

So we aren't allowed to hand it in? That's the first thing I'd do if I did find it, but if I had to spend it...

I'd probably buy a house with it (oh, and buy a drink or five for everyone here )

I'd keep it.

Buy a house and if enough was left, see more of the world.

And worry the rest of my life as I wrestle with a guilty conscience.....

There again, you know, you just know, that a quarter mil sitting in a sports bag had to belong to a villain, so no probs

And yes, ok, I'd buy all you 'erberts a sherbet or two

I'm afraid I'm annoyingly honest & I would hand it in, but if that option was impossible then i would invest it in long term secure investments with compounding interest & as the interest payments increased sufficiently that I was recieving enough interest in the various investments to be able to more than cover inflation despite what I was withdrawing, then I would live off the passive income without touching the principal. I would also put a percentage of it in trust for my children, also invested & compounding. & I suppose i could buy you lot a drink or two

But I'm afraid. like flops, even if, for some reason, it was impossible to hand it in, my conscience would still nag at me.

I'm with Ciri on this - I'd have to hand it in I'm afraid - I'm just too honest I guess

I expect honesty in my friends and relationships, so it would be hypocritical if I did otherwise.

If I really wasn't allowed to hand it in, then I would give it away to charity or folks less fortunate than myself.

OK yeah, I'm a tw*t and a softy, but I don't care.....
