Particularly I am interested in this one, but I have heard that you get what
you pay for:

BIOSTAR TForce6100-939 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

But I am also wondering about the value of the company itself and the
products it puts out. And how reliable have their mobo's been in the past.

I trust Asus.

Middle-shelf, above ECS/PC Chips, below
Asus/MSI/Abit/Sometimes-Gigabyte.

I realize you said "Never mind", but thought I put a word in about my
experience with Biostar. I'm running 3 of their boards- two with Sempron
processors and one with an Athlon XP. All have been infallible in the hands
of a 7 yr old, a 13 yr old and my wife. The one drawback to them is
documentation- very weak. Two of the boards starting out using the IGP and
then upgraded to AGP cards with no problems. Using the onboard sound on all
three. They have been a pleasant surprise in price vs. quality and I
wouldn't hesitate to build a basic system with one again.
