If I check a site using the anybrowser online check at
http://www.anybrowser.com/ScreenSizeTest.html, it's the Mac Netscape view
that seems to be the biggest problem. It looks as if anything that's
centered, whether text, image, or table, won't be centered here. It can look
ok in Netscape PC view, but not on a mac.

Is there any way to make this work? Or is the only option not to use a
centered layout? TIA

It looks as if a left aligned layout works ok and can be designed to flow
with the narrow window width. But I'd rather have a centered layout if
possible.

How are you centering the tables, table properties?

Yes. Here's a bit of the code for the start:

<div align="center">
<center>
<table border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" width="450"
id="AutoNumber1">
