Does anyone know if there is any way to stop this poster from continuing
with this viral type of behaviour?

Microsoft will take care of it in due course. In the meantime set your OE
filter so that it blocks posts with relevant words in the Subject line. If
you don't use a newsreader that has a blocking ability then now is the time
to switch.

I added the sender to my blocked senders' list. I'm sure the messages are
still on the server, but at least they don't show up for me.

There are enough auto-post programs on the market that I'm surprised the
groups aren't being slammed more than they are.

Thanks - I thought that they might, is there any way to 'prompt' M$ in to
noticing it a little faster? Who would I report it to? Thanks very much
for the OE tip. I would have been manually deleting hundreds of these posts
every minute if you hadn't told me that....

The sender's name might change, but the word "warez" should always be
there. You might add that word to the filter for the subject line and
the email address.

I have OE and have already done what was suggested in the way of filtering
(mail rules). But what the hell is this newsgroup going to look like in
other news readers on the web? Will their administrators be able top do the
'blocking'?

Do you mean File > Properties then click on the 'Details' tab then read on
down the list to the value:
X-Complaints-To: (E-Mail Removed) (in this case)?

If so, I've done that already, but thought there might be a way of alerting
M$ to it also.
