I accidentally partitioned it during an attempted install of XP thinking
it was the new hard drive.

Do you know how the flash drive was partitioned before? The factory
setup was most likely one partition.

If all you did was write a new partition table, then all of your
files are still there. To fix this, you must restore the partition
table to what it was when you wrote those files.

I'm not a windows user, so I don't know whether whatever you used to
do the partitioning chose to be really helpful and zeroed out the FAT.
Using the same tool you used before couldn't make things worse.

Doing a google search of
'recovering lost files on a flash drive' came up with a number of
entries. I have not tried this product below, but I would venture to say you
are in for an education. Maybe someone else has been in your shoes and
already knows a good program.

First thing to do is make an image of the pendrive, then you have the
option to try more than one time tor ecover the data. Do something
else first and you've only got one chance.

I trust you'll be sensible next time and not have only one copy.
