Does anyone knows about a modeler like Visio for modeling systems,
networks, etc? I need a (freeware Windows XP) application that can
model network system with icons or images like MS-Visio does, and for
modeling UML and Flow Diagrams.

And while we're at it, I'd like file compatibility with Visio too. I
remember when Microsoft bought this program around 1997 -- they paid _2
or 3 Billion_ for it, so they want a good return on their investment.

I'd like a good return on my investment, too.

Then you get nothing, this is a freeware group :-)

Don't get your hopes up about file compatibility with Visio. AFAIK,
there's nothing in the freeware world that has it, and there
probably won't be. Reason is obvious: the file format is not open,
so noone really knows how to read it. Don't blame the freeware
authors, blame Microsoft for keeping it a secret.

Wald
