As long as I use hyphens or underscores, no spaces, in image file names, is
there any problem with long names? I'd like to include my name at the end of
each file name, so that if someone saves an image of my work, they'll have a
reminder of who made it. This would add 12 to 23 characters including the
underscores. Any problem with this in Netscape or older browsers? TIA

Personally, when I download a file with a long filename, I rename it.

I subscribe to the Painters Keys letter for artists, and read the responses
posted on that website. These often include photos of paintings and
sculptures by the writers. When I find one I like a lot, I save it to my
hard drive. Some of the files include the artist's name, but others don't.
When they don't, I have no way to know who did the work. So I figure other
people will do this too - save photos of my work and later wonder who did
it.
