Hi,

I am thinking of doing cloning on new PCs in the office, they all came with
IBM OEM Windows XP Pro, the things I am thinking of doing is installed all
other software on one master PC with all the configuration etc. Then using
Ghost to clone it to all other PCs and then using ghost walker changing SID
and computer name. Is there any problem doing this?

Thank,

Shing.

Yes. This is not supported in Windows XP. You can use our Sysprep tool in
conjunction with the Ghost software

Thank for you reply.
Can you explain a bit more "what is not supported in Windows XP Pro"? I had
read docs in Ghost that it can do an better job then sysprep tools but it
did say is best to used it if the are hardware change. If the hardware had
not change then sysprep can be skip?

Thank, Any other comment welcome!

Shing.
