I bought a Logitech Cordless Mx Duo, plugged it in, installed the
software and rebooted. Windows gets through everything and right
before you would get to the screen where you enter the password the
screen goes blank and it apprently freezes.

I thought maybe the video drivers were screwy so I reinstalled Windows
XP and now I can not install any nvidia drivers (neither the ones from
nvidia.com or microsoft update) without the same symptoms appearing. I
have only installed the windows critical updates since windows
reinstallation. Once I install any drivers (went from 52.16 back to
45.23 and 44.03) Windows freezes in the same place. I have tried
removing the mouse and keyboard and putting in my old one and it still
freezes when booting. But when I use system restore to go back to
before I installed the drivers windows boots fine.

The only thing I can think of to try is to reinstall with my old mouse
and keyboard. Has anyone seen this before or have any ideas? Thank
you!

I have
p4 1.6ghz
PNY Geforce 4 mx with 64mb
gigabit MB with SDRAM
