Any luck with Avi splitter?

Further to earlier post......

Can't believe this has stumped the good folk of this group! ;-)

I have a movie in avi format that I want to burn to VCD. It is too big
for one CD. Is there a freeware avi splitter so I can put it on two
disks?

I usually use the X-no archive header but abandoned it for this post to
attract a wider audience.

check out chainsaw, i cut gigabytes into cd chunks

Be aware this will not create playable avi files. You will have to join the
files before you can play them.
