When I first got my Dell with Vista a year and a half ago- I found that my 2
scanners, both 4-5 years old were going to lose functionality with Vista-
as neither HP nor Epson had a decent Vista driver.

So, I now want to buy a new flatbed scanner- have the scanner makers finally
started making good Vista drivers?

At Staples the other day I looked at the Canon G3110 selling for about $100.
I asked the employee there if scanner makers have finally started making
decent Vista drivers. His reply was "no"- not that he looked like he might
really know.

See Vuescan - it is compatible with 1200 scanners, and most OS's
including VISTA

See: http://www.hamrick.com/

Vuescan is better than most software that comes with scanners
