Zoner Draw 3 is a vector graphics drawing program, quite similar to
CorelDraw, though with a few less features. The interface is very
like that of CorelDraw, so it's easy for Corel users to switch over.

The drawing package in Open Office is the same kind of thing, too

Jota

Maybe if you explained what you want to do you might get some reasonable
suggestions.

CorelDraw is a pretty complex program that can do lots of things.

The Graphics app in Open Office isn't even close to CorelDraw version 3 from
the early 90's.

Zoner Draw may be worth a look...never tried it myself so can't comment.

Some folks here have noted Pixia as a good one and I'm sure there are
others. Perhaps you could check SOS' site for a few hints...
http://www.sover.net/~wysiwygx/index.html ...look in his Graphics Pages.

Serif DrawPlus 4
....is pretty nice for freeware. Also if you download the freeware and
leave an email-address they will eventually offer you a newer version
of the software for just $10!!

Check it out at:

Rob,
They will also spam you to death at the email address you give
them. That was my experience.

George,
I unsuccessfully tried *three times* to unsubscribe. In the end, I
changed my email address. I was about to anyway, but the Serif spam
pushed me over the edge.

Then, be prepared - create a new e-mail address just for them and never
bother to look into it.
You have the software and the spam is in a cul-de-sac.

A clever man knows how to solve a problem - a wise man knows how to avoid
it!
p.s. Pass this idea on to Mr Bush.
