No problem here. But you have to run cfs3config.exe when you install a new
video card.

I did. What OS and drivers you using? I think I better try it under XP
because I installed Freespace2 to Win98SE and it didn't recognize I
had a D3D capable card installed but when I installed it to XP it did
so there must be something going on with Win98SE and certain games not
recognizing the R9800pro under Win98. Uner Win98 it will play in
safemode but it says I need to update my drivers the next time I run
the config file.

I'm running XP and am using the latest catalyst drivers with my 9800 flashed
pro - 3.8

It had the same problem in XP too. I got it running though by
disabling the scenery. I think my disk2 is installing corrupted files
form the zips and it is not a vid card problem at all.
