I know this an old thread, but does anyone know if there are any fixes
for Outlook 2007 yet.

I don't have a problem with the rest of office, just outlook slows my
machine until it is almost unuseable.

I have tried formatting and putting office on first, with nothing else
installed and it still runs like a biatch.

If they fix it, it will be the best thing since sliced bread

I don't have any rss feeds, just 3 pop email accounts. My whole system
freezes when it checks email.

I'm using a Sony Vaio pentium m 1.73ghz 512mb
I have never had a problem with it until I installed office 2007
I'm due to finish my degree next October, wonder if it'll be fixed by
then?

I have the same problem - whenever outlook checks for email it will "freeze"
my system until it finishes the operation and then I get control again. Very
frustrating! Has anyone seen a fix for this?
