Is there any freeware DVD / SVCD maker to change .avi files for SVCD that is
playable in DVDs?

Thanks for the link n info however halfway doing the process it failed ...
i don't know why ... maybe my file is too big -> 700 mb?

Have you tried VCDEasy 1.1.5.2 (look for last freeware version).
You need to convert the file to MPEG2 first, maybe with TMPGEnc.

My favorite freeware is DiVXToDVD. Does several formats, not just
AVI/DiVX. It creates burning-ready DVD files. Now, as I recall, you
can't set output size [ie, for SVCD], so there you'll need an extra
step, like DVD Shrink. Granted, a bit stoopid to create the DVD-ready
files then have to redo shrink-to-fit, but DiVXToDVD is very fast, as
is DVD Shrink.

Of course, if your output files are under SVCD size, you can burn em
w/o shrinking.

freeware
