I am looking for a program that will record an image of the various
drives onto DVD's. It must be capable of making an image of C:drive
with the operating system and record the System State just like
Microsoft backup will do.

Programs without that like Winbackup which I have tried are pretty
useless as you have to install all the working programs again or at
least get shortcuts onto your desktop.

I have asked Acronis but so far I have not had an answer.

I have so often been told that an image is a great deal faster for
restore than the Windows restore and I should like to try one.

PowerQuest DriveImage.
