Does anyone knows any freeware Windows XP software burning tool for
CD & DVD. I have been using burn4free, but it doesn't make a copy from
an existing CD/DVD, it only copies directories, ISO images or similars,
but you can't copy a CD or a DVD from a CD/DVD source.

Find HP support, use a current HP CDRW model no. and you can get a free copy
of Record Now. Try this link:

Sorry Kenny, but that solution wouldn't be "freeware" as this group is
intended to be, that would be a "cracker" solution. I know how to find
protected software and unprotect it, I could find any commercial
software I want for free, but that's not my idea, I want freeware
products and even better if they're Open Source.

Maybe the OP has an HP burner. In that case, he is entitled to a free copy
of Record Now.

In that case of course it would be legal, but as he says "use a current
HP CDRW model no.", I really understand of this phrase that he's saying
that what I just need is to find a HP serial number.....which would be
cracking. If that wasn't what he meant I would apologize for the
misunderstanding, but for now, he's proposing cracking (I'm not judging
him from cracking, I've done it, I just telling him that this is NOT
the proper group for offering cracks, and of course ALWAYS with all the
respect he should deserve as a member of this group I respect his
opinion but I don't share his thoughts)

Last time I tried CDBURNERXP, it had a limit on some functionality--I
think it was copying a CD.

As far as I know, no freeware can copy CD except burnatonce, and bao can
only copy on the fly. You can, of course, read disc image and then write it.
