I think we are down to three vendors for our antiviru software.

The only thing we want to do is scan local machines and exchange
mailboxes. nothing more, no firewalls...just antivirus and exchange
mailbox scanning.

We already own and use Trendmicro officescan. so we can just renew it.
We are looking into Sophos for exchange and computer systems and
kaspersky.

Can someone tell me which one is the best to go with and why?

I have read a lot of reviews already including that website. I believe
that product is called NOD32. I'm asking now for person experience. e.
g. Tech support was awful, we couldn't get the product to work. It was
slow and sluggish, etc...

I have NOD32 running on a desktop and a laptop. I installed it a couple of
years ago. I had no trouble getting it "to work" ( a phrase which is quite
vague).
I can't comment about there service techs because I have never had a
problem.
Performance of this or any other software package is highly dependent on the
speed of the disks, speed of the processor, and the number of interactive
users (to name just a few).

Thanks for information! I know some of the questions are vague, but i
mean that so you can creativly answer anyway you want. I have been
messing with antivirus products for a long time and i understand most
of the stuff thats stated here. What i meant by slow and sluggish is
the footprint of the application.

Thanks for the info!

I've used NOD32 for a number of years and I'm licensed until year 2010
on two computers. NOD32 updates automatically whenever an update is
available. I've never needed tech support so can't advise there.
They have my email address and I never receive annoying emails from
them. I will be buying a new computer shortly which will have NOD32
installed immediately.

I will uninstall NOD32 from my oldest computer to save paying an
additional licence fee and I intend installing AVG free on the older
computer. AVG gets excellent reports so I will be eager to try it for
myself.

I use AVG free at home as well, and have for approx 4 or so years. I
have never had an infection in that time frame. I have had it detect
viruses in emails people sent me or in files i have downloaded that i
knew i shouldn't have downloaded in the first place. I have also setup
AVG for a small business and it was horrible to set up. I hated it :
( . Anyways thanks for the information.

Did you use the free version for the small business?
