AVAST http://www.avast.com
AVG http://www.grisoft.com
Free AV http://www.free-av.com
F-Prot http://www.f-prot.com/

all have their pro's and con's. for more info, just google this newsgroup
with the word 'antivirus' (you're not the first who asked, you know :-)

In the end, I like AVG the most, even if the number of updates out numbers
Micosofts'

Antidote provides a on-demand scan using the powerful KAV scan engine.
No cleaning capability but it's a very worthwhile free scanner. You
have to d/l Antidote weekly to get it reasonably up to date:

See my web site for the Sys-Up download. Trend's Sysclean affords
another quality on-demand scan with cleaning capability.
