On two soft reboots the AntiSpyware stopped running as a
service. When I did a cold reboot it started running as
a service again.

Microsoft AntiSpyware does not run as a service, it runs as process,
although I wouldn't if it ran as Service.

Andre is correct. AntiSpyware does not run as a service.
