antispyware prevents ACPI from falling into S3 mode

Under Windows MCE 2005, I have noticed that after having installed
Antispyware beta, my computer would no longer switch to S3 mode when being
unused as configured into power options applet from the configuration
pannel. Uninstalling Antispyware solves the issue.

This is an important issue, since MCE 2005 machines have to be available
very quickly when you want to listen to music or watch tv, thus people tend
to leave them powered up all day but have them fall to S3 mode when unused.

About S3 mode, I want to give my special "foolish programmer award" to the
genius at Microsoft who has decided to have my windows MCE automatically
wake up every night from S3 mode at 3:47 AM in order to retreive the content
of the Electronic Program Guide. As I often forget to shut down completely
my computer at night (as it is in S3 mode, it makes itself being forgotten),
this wakes me up very often as I sleep in the room next to my living room.
And of course as an authentic genius, the guy has somewhat cyphered the
registry key that sets wakeup time in order to make sure that you can't
modify it !

Re-test when beta2 arrives, is the best advice I can think of at the moment.

About the more generic issue--have you tried the public groups for MCE?
