antispyware freezes during initial scan

After installing antispyware and updating it the first
scan freezes at a the System32/p2p networking folder and
seems to be in loop finding altnet bots.

I have tried installing and running in safe mode and have
also tried a clean boot installation

I have tried running it with my wireless network disabled

I have tried unchecking this folder in the folder options
under full scan - it still scans this folder and gets
stuck there

NOthing seems to work -
