I installed the new beta antispyware when it was first
released & have kept it upto date. But it has only
detected three spyware to this date my other spyware
tools spysweeper & lavasoft together have removed at
least 50 spyware. Has anyone else had a problem with
microsofts new product or do you think there is a problem
with the program.

I ran the free spyware checker (Anonymizer) on the zone
alarm web site
(http://download.zonelabs.com/bin/pro...spywaredetecto
r/offer2.html) and it found 20 spywares on my laptop.
Microsoft found only one which BTW was not found by ZA.

How do you report this to MS?

This build of Microsoft Antispyware does not scan for cookies. This
accounts for much if not all of the difference in the comparisons I see
posted in these groups.

Join the crowd , this stuff doesnt really detectT anything
as I can see....ran spybot after running this and it
detected 22 spywares...avenuaA and hitbox where on there
the most. I also ran it on my grandsons drive, again it
detected nothing, spybot found more than I can count, he's
everywhere on the net. I can not see any real purpose of
this software, it simply does not work!

avenueA & hitbox are cookies.
The Beta version of MSAS does not look for them (yet).

Cheers Steve

You would think with it being a beta version that
microsoft would want feed back but it would seem not.

Microsoft reads the feedback in these groups. In addition, you can submit a
tools, suspected spyware report from an infected machine.
This build of the beta does not scan or remove cookies, which accounts for
some difference in comparisons.
