I think we can get this fixed for you:
1) open Windows Explorer--right-click Start, and choose Explore.
Navigate to \program files\Microsoft Antispyware--i.e. the folder in which
Microsoft Antispyware was installed--for many, this will be C:\Program
Files, Microsoft Antispyware.
In this folder, double click on: \program files\microsoft
antispyware\gcasSWUpdater.exe
Look for an icon which looks like a satellite dish.
This should, perhaps after a pause--initiate a popup from Microsoft
Antispyware offering you an auto-download of an updated version. Accept
this offer, and allow the update to install.
This has worked for most users--please try it. And let us know whether it
works--if it does not, there's an alternative.
